MIDDLE EARTH HR
The last few months have sped by and we seem to be reaching the end of the year and as usual this a good time to look back and look forward. The last quarter has been a bit turbulent for us. The Leadership curriculum we launched seem to have taken shape with twin launches of the Business Analytics Certification as well as the certification program on Emotional intelligence. Both were received well. We also launched the program on HR Business Partnering and the market response for this certification was immediate and fast.
Our extensive public workshop series is opening in Qatar for the first time which will be a boon to the HR practitioners in Qatar who earlier had to travel to Dubai to do HR certifications.
The floods in Chennai and some visa restrictions in Egypt caused a couple of unexpected cancellations to our workshops there but regions like Dubai, Mumbai and Delhi showed a great growth.
We have also done a variety of training interventions in companies like Accenture, Egyptian Banking Institute, Thirdware, NIIT, Mindtree, IMT, MAQ and many others and they were well received.
Our Office seems to be undergoing a renovation with a New Gaming room for employees and also an AV room taking shape and I am sure that will benefit the employees to higher engagement levels.
From an employee point of view , we had to take leave of a few of our stalwarts who had been with us for the last 3-4 years or so – T Sumalatha ( our point person for assessment support ) , Sameena ( Our team lead for Leadership Marketing ) and Maruti Kumar ( Our Internal HR team lead ) , the First two to get married and the last to join HR team for Deloitte. There were emotional scenes as their farewells, this was a good time to test out our succession planning process and these positions were taken over by Suchitra, Raj and Usha respectively, and as they all have been in the company for the last 2 years themselves we do not see too much challenges there. We also had 11 new people joining this Quarter and they started settling in well.
Janus being two headed ( The Roman God of Beginnings and Endings ) , as January dawns we are also starting to look forward to the new year where we will have our usual extensive intern program where we will be having 17 interns from IIMs . IITs, NMIMS, IMT and Symbiosis joining us. The 10x productivity workshop, the talent management certification and the master negotiator certification are also some of the key highlights of the next quarter which we are starting to look forward to.
